How to raise money for your run

Whether you're running 5K or a marathon, jumblebee has all the tools to help you raise as much money for your cause as possible!

No matter what distance you’re running, in order to be successful, you need to be highly motivated, dedicated, and hard working. If you’re seeking to raise funds for a cause close to your heart, why ask any less of your fundraising partner?

At jumblebee, our auctions are super easy to set up! There’s no limit on prizes. The simplest to the most sophisticated prizes are guaranteed to raise funds for your cause.

Setting up your page

As soon as you set up your account, you can get started on creating your auction via our website homepage, and one of our team will be in touch to give you useful tips. Here are the ones we think are the best:

Page theming
Tailor the look of your page by changing backgrounds and colours.

QR codes
We can create a QR code that you can give to your supporters, so they can quickly and easily reach your auction page.

Reordering
Sprinkle your best items all the way through your auction, so bidders see everything on offer as they scroll through.

Buzz items
If you want to add more to your auction, we can help by supplying prizes – from luxury holidays to cookery classes – at no extra cost.

End time
We recommend ending the auction after your run, between 7pm and 9pm, to maximise engagement.

Promoting your auction

Once you are set up, promotion is the key. Follow these steps to make sure that you get the news of your run out to as many people as possible:

- Open your auction before the day of your run

- Regularly share the link and/or QR code via your socials

- Tag us on Instagram @jumblebee_auctions to widen your audience

Think outside the box for prizes!

Your prizes do not all need to be big and flashy. They can be simple, like offering two hours of dog walking or baking homemade treats.

One idea that we really liked was when one of our runners auctioned wristbands for each mile that he was running. The wristbands were personalised, and he dedicated that mile to the person on the wristband.

Donations

Once you’ve come up with a few prize ideas, you can add a 'Donate' button to your auction page. This gives your supporters the option to get involved in your fundraising, even if they miss out on your prizes. What we would say is: it can’t hurt, you’ve got nothing to lose, so why not?

If you have any other questions, or need any advice at all, our team is here to help, just give us a call on 0203 826 8560 or email us on support@jumblebee.co.uk. We’d love to hear from you.
