Jumblebee fundraising auction

A fundraising dinner in aid of a Hospice.

At this event, we ran our first in-person jumblebee fundraising "Fusion Auction", where we were able to accept bids for the live auction via our online system, as the live auction happened in the room. This allowed those unable to purchase tickets to remain involved and a wider audience to be reached, which helped increase the overall funds raised.

During the event, 8 items were auctioned live in the room by an auctioneer. These items had been open for pre-bidding via the jumblebee fundraising auction site, with proxy bidding enabled. Proxy bidding allowed anyone who was not in attendance (and who also didn't want to bid along live), to place the maximum they would be willing to bid on these items. The system then stored these bids and bid up on their behalf in case they were outbid.
